Yinchuan Hedong Airport, located in the southeast of Yinchuan city, is 19 kilometers away from the downtown. There are over 100 flights per week flying to over 20 cities including: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Chengdu, Urumqi, Dunhuang, Wuhan, Kunming, Dalian, Chongqing, Hangzhou.
Three routes, including Route No.1, No.2 and No. 3, are opened by Yinchuan Public Transportation Company from April 20 to October 20 each year. Those three routes start from Xinyue Square, head for Imperial Mausoleum of Western Xia, Rock Paintings in Helan Mountains and Zhengbeibu Western Film Studio. Buses leave on time each day and their number will increase during holidays of May 1st and the National Day.
Yinchuan enjoys convenient highway traffic. National Highway 109 and 110 run through downtown Yinchuan from north to south and National Highway 211 and 307 take Yinchuan as the start and the end respectively. National expressways from Yinchuan to Qingdao and from Yinchuan to Wuhan are open to traffic in some sections. Passenger Transportation buses of Yinchuan station are able to reach cities and counties of whole Ningxia and other places including Beijing, Shenyang, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and Gansu, etc..
